Common use of Rest Pauses Clause in Contracts

Rest Pauses. 22.1.1 Where practicable every employee covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to a rest pause of ten minutes duration in the employers' time in the first and second half of the working day. Such rest pauses shall be taken at such times as will not interfere with the continuity of work where continuity is necessary. 22.1.2 Where there is agreement between the employer and the majority of employees concerned the rest pauses may be combined into one 20 minute rest pause to be taken in the first part of the ordinary working day, with such 20 minute rest pause and the meal break arranged in such a way that the ordinary working day is broken up into 3 approximately equal working periods. Consent to combine the rest pauses shall not be unreasonably withheld by either party.
