Retention of Carrier Pre-Selection Sample Clauses

The Retention of Carrier Pre-Selection clause ensures that customers maintain their ability to choose and retain their preferred telecommunications carrier for certain services. In practice, this means that even if a customer changes service providers or makes adjustments to their service plan, their original carrier selection for specific services, such as long-distance or international calls, remains in effect unless the customer explicitly requests a change. This clause is designed to protect customer choice and prevent unauthorized or accidental changes to their selected carrier, thereby ensuring continuity and avoiding service disruptions.
Retention of Carrier Pre-Selection. For 99% of orders which require Carrier Pre-Selection to be retained on a Line, BT will reinstate Carrier Pre-Selection within 30 minutes of the completion of the transfer. If BT fails to do this, then providing the Communications Provider advises BT via Buzzcom within 2 hours of BT’s provision of the first CDR fraud feed which shows that BT has not implemented Carrier Pre-Selection on time, the Communications Provider shall have the entitlement set out in paragraph 4.7.
Retention of Carrier Pre-Selection. If BT fails to meet the commitment set out in paragraph 3.8, then subject to any limitations, where the cost of BT calls is higher, BT will credit the difference between the cost of BT calls charged to the Communications Provider and, either: (a) where the Communications Provider uses a third party Carrier Pre-Selection provider, the cost of those calls (including any retrospective rebates applied to the cost of those calls) charged to the Communications Provider by their Carrier Pre-Selection provider as evidenced by the Communications Provider; or (b) where the Communications Provider does not use a third party Carrier Pre-Selection provider, the cost of the equivalent calls in the highest priced tier published in the BT Wholesale Call Commitment Package or alternatively, the cost of those calls to the Communications Provider as evidenced on a case by case basis by the Communications Provider. Evidence provided under this paragraph may only be provided to BT Group employees who need to know the information in order to fulfil BT’s obligations under this Contract.
