Common use of RETURN FROM LEAVES OF ABSENCE Clause in Contracts

RETURN FROM LEAVES OF ABSENCE. 15.07.01 An employee returning from any leave of absence will be returned to the permanent job they had at the time the leave commenced, subject to Articles 13 or 14. 15.07.02 Both parties to the Agreement recognize that excessive employee absenteeism is detrimental to the operation and can negatively impact other employees. As a result, work time missed due to personal illness or injury, which would qualify as emergency leave under the provisions of the Employment Standards Act will all be offset from the annual emergency leave allowance provided to each employee, under the Employment Standards Act.
