Common use of Right of Transfer Clause in Contracts

Right of Transfer. Notwithstanding any other remedy, when a student is assigned to a school identified for improvement which fails to meet the outcome standards after a two-year period following such identification and which is not scheduled for reconstitution in the following year, the City Board will, to the extent space is available, provide the student with an opportunity to transfer to another SLPS school designated by the City Board which is not so identified and SLPS will provide transportation to the student as appropriate. The State shall not utilize transportation provided pursuant to this Section in determining the efficiency of the City Board’s transportation, and the City Board shall receive State transportation aid.
