Common use of Right to Stop Work Clause in Contracts

Right to Stop Work. 6.2.1 If the Contractor persistently fails or refuses to perform the Work in accordance with this Contract, the City may order the Contractor to stop the Work, or any described portion thereof, until the cause for stoppage has been corrected no longer exists, or the City orders that Work be resumed. In such event, the Contractor shall immediately obey such order.
