Common use of Route Indexing Clause in Contracts

Route Indexing. The donor Party shall implement Directory Number-Route Index (“DN-RI”) in particular switches as requested by the porting Party and as agreed by the Parties upon completion of a successful technical trial which the Parties agree to conduct as soon as reasonably practical. DN-RI requires direct trunking between the donor Party switch to which the ported number was originally assigned and the porting Party switch to which the number has been ported (or other porting Party switch). Only one way SS7 trunks shall be used for DN-RI. The donor Party shall provide DN-RI as part of porting existing DID telephone numbers. The donor Party switch shall send the originally dialed number as a 7-digit or 10-digit number to the porting Party switch without a prefix.
