Routine Inspection. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT AND TEST ALL IRRIGATION SYSTEMS A MINIMUM OF ONCE PER DAY IN ORDER TO: a. Adjust system to provide adequate coverage, prevent excessive runoff, and prevent overspray onto non-landscaped areas and vehicles. b. Determine malfunctions, damage, or obstructions and implement corrective action. Contractor shall monitor the water requirements of the plant material, the soil conditions, seasonal temperature variations, wind conditions, and rainfall and shall recommend and implement changes in the duration of the water cycle. Costs for excessive utility usage due to failure to repair malfunctions on a timely basis or unauthorized changes in irrigation frequency may be deducted from payments to the Contractor based upon comparisons with historical expenditures.
