Common use of Rules and Procedures Clause in Contracts

Rules and Procedures. The Sparks Fire Department Rules and Standard Operating Procedures, as amended from time to time, and as long as Rules or Regulations are not in conflict with the existing contractual agreement, are not a part of this negotiated agreement. Any changes in such rules shall be made at the discretion of the Fire Chief or designee with the approval of the City Manager, provided such changes are posted via city email not less than ten (10) days prior to the effective date of such changes. A copy of the proposed changes must also be sent to the Firefighters President and Secretary at least ten (10) days prior to the change.
