The SAFE EDUCATIONAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT clause establishes the obligation to maintain a secure, respectful, and non-discriminatory setting for all participants in an educational or workplace context. SAFE EDUCATIONAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT. The District shall provide a safe educational and work environment for all students and employees. The District will comply with all workplace health and safety regulations, including the California Occupational Safety and Health Regulations and guidelines of CAL OSHA. The Federation and its unit members may also bring to the attention of the District health, safety, and security guidelines from other regulatory agencies that govern employee health, safety, and security whereupon the District and the Federation will engage in consultation.

Responsibility for the maintenance of safe procedures and practices is also that of the unit member, which includes each unit member attending all scheduled District and College safety training sessions which are related to their assignments, or as determined to be mandatory as required by law or regulation.

  • Work Environment It is mutually agreed that the prevention of accidents and injuries to state employees will result in greater efficiency of operations of state government. Toward this end, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions and the Union shall fully cooperate by encouraging all employees to perform their assigned tasks in a safe manner.

  • Working Environment The parties agree that a safe and clean working environment is essential in order to carry out work assignments in a satisfactory manner. The Employer commits to investigate the use of environmentally friendly products. It will be the Employer's responsibility to ensure that all working areas and employer-owned vehicles are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

  • HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT In the performance of this Contract, Contractor and Operator shall conduct Petroleum Operations with due regard to health, safety and the protection of the environment (“HSE”) and the conservation of natural resources, and shall in particular:

  • Alcohol and Drug Testing Employee agrees to comply with and submit to any Company program or policy for testing for alcohol abuse or use of drugs and, in the absence of such a program or policy, to submit to such testing as may be required by Company and administered in accordance with applicable law and regulations.

  • Management of Special and Technical Environment Each certificated support person demonstrates an acceptable level of performance in managing and organizing the special materials, equipment and environment essential to the specialized programs.
