The 'Safety Equipment and Uniforms' clause requires that appropriate protective gear and standardized clothing be provided and used in the workplace to ensure employee safety and maintain a consistent appearance. Safety Equipment and Uniforms. 33.01 Where the conditions of employment require the use of safety equipment listed below, the Employer shall make the following equipment available to employees for their use while working under conditions which necessitate its use, at no cost to employees:
(a) welding apron;
(b) welding goggles;
(c) welding gloves;
(d) dust protection mask for shop and street sweeper;
(e) eye protection mask for bench grinder;
(f) rubber apron for work with chemicals;
(g) gas mask and canisters for arena, pool and sewer and water main maintenance operations;
(h) insulated gloves for steam use, pumphouse and sewer and water division;
(i) ear protectors for noise;
(j) safety glasses;
(k) hard hats;
(l) coveralls, one pair insulated winter to employees that require them, and one pair summer per year;
(m) work gloves- except in extenuating circumstances, each employee shall be provided with no more than two (2) pairs of gloves per year.
33.02 The employees are responsible for the proper use and care of equipment provided to them.
33.03 The Employer shall provide the Bylaw Officer with the following uniform clothing items annually: - 2 pairs of pants - 2 pairs of long sleeve shirts - 2 pairs of short sleeve shirts. The Employer shall provide the Bylaw Officer with suitable winter clothing every two years.
Safety Equipment and Uniforms. MCWD shall provide and maintain appropriate safety clothing and equipment for Laboratory personnel. Such items may include, depending upon assigned duties, laboratory coats, dust masks, and non-prescription safety glasses. Up to five (5) coats shall be cleaned weekly and worn clothing shall be replaced by MCWD. MCWD shall provide and maintain the appropriate uniforms for Operations and Maintenance personnel. Such items shall include: Long sleeved shirts, pants, and jackets. Shirts and pants shall be cleaned weekly and worn clothing shall be replaced by MCWD. MCWD will provide up to two-one-hundred forty dollars ($200140.00) credit for the initial purchase of safety-toed boots or safety-toed shoes for the following personnel: Systems Operator I/II/III, Water Quality Chemist, and engineering classifications that require inspecting as a function of the position. Replacement boots or shoes will be provided on an as-needed basis. Wearing of uniforms and safety boots during all working hours is mandatory for all employees provided with or eligible for reimbursement of same. Uniforms and boots are to be worn for District purposes only. Obscene or excessive adornment may not be worn. The District shall provide one pair of prescription safety glasses, upon request, to each employee in Operations and Maintenance and Laboratory personnel. The reimbursement cost for each pair of glasses shall not exceed $100.
Safety Equipment and Uniforms. The Employer will provide for each employee, such protective devices and equipment as the Employer deems necessary for the safe performance of work, such as safety vest, leather gloves, etc. The Employer shall furnish work uniforms for all employees occupying the classifications contained in Appendix A (Unit I). The Unit I employees shall receive one (1) change per day. Employees who are furnished a uniform must wear said uniform while working.
Safety Equipment and Uniforms. Safety Equipment and uniforms required to be worn by employees of the District shall be provided to employees at District expense. Safety shoes shall be provided for food service, security, nurses, mechanics, maintenance, grounds, bus/van drivers, custodians, technology, delivery and warehouse employees from District approved selections and vendors. Employees will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $130 every twelve (12) months to purchase their own shoes when the District does not have an assigned shoe program provider. Uniforms will be worn exclusively for work performed for Banning Unified School District by those in the maintenance, security, technology, custodial, transportation, and grounds classifications. Employees in the above classifications must wear safety shoes at all times when on duty at their work assignment. All uniforms will be returned upon separation of employment. All employees shall not wear District uniforms on non-work days and/or to perform work outside of the District. Employees shall not deviate from the District provided uniforms outlined below:
