The SAMPLE BASIS clause defines the terms under which goods or products are provided based on a sample shown or provided to the buyer. In practice, this means that the bulk of the goods delivered must match the quality, characteristics, and specifications of the original sample agreed upon by both parties. This clause ensures that the buyer receives products consistent with their expectations and protects against discrepancies between the sample and the delivered goods, thereby reducing the risk of disputes over quality or conformity.
SAMPLE BASIS. The sampling equipment shall be designed to accumulate a representative sample proportional to the flow of the Raw Product passing through the measurement station.
