Common use of Sample Collection Clause in Contracts

Sample Collection. i) Samples of Coal shall be collected jointly by the Third Parties of the Seller and the Purchaser either manually or through any suitable mechanical sampling arrangement including Auger Sampling method if physically operationable, at each of the Delivery Points for determining the quality of Coal in presence of representatives of Seller and Purchaser2. ii) For the purpose of sampling each rake (source wise, grade wise and plant wise) of Coal supplied from one Delivery Point shall be considered as a lot. iii) Each day’s supply from a source shall be considered as one lot for the purpose of sampling in case of Coal supplies by road, ropeways, belt and Merry-Go-Round (MGR) rail system. However, in case of Coal supplies by Railways, each rake from a source shall be considered for the purpose of sampling.
