Common use of Scheduling Preference Clause in Contracts

Scheduling Preference. Vacation applications should be limited to two weeks for the peak summer months (between June 1st and September 30th) and shall be submitted prior to April 1st each year and preference shall be given employees on the basis of seniority within the functional group. Approved Vacation forms will be returned by April 30th. Christmas/New Years vacations shall be submitted prior to September 1st each year and preference shall be given employees on the basis of seniority within the functional group. Approved Vacation forms will be returned by September 30th. Any vacations received outside of these dates will be approved on a first come first serve basis.
