SCOPE AND RECOGNITION. 2.1 The Company recognizes that the Union is the sole and exclusive bargaining agency for all of its hourly rated employees save and except plant protection employees. Any operation presently being performed by hourly rated employees will not be changed to a salary employee function unless by mutual consent. 2.2 Supervisors and other employees not covered by this Agreement will not perform any work which is normally performed by employees in the Bargaining Unit, except in cases of emergency or for the purpose of instructing employees. An emergency is a condition over which the Company has no control and cannot be used to deprive any employee of any work time.
