SCOPE AND RECOGNITION. 2.01 The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole bargaining agent on behalf of the employees for whom the Union 2.02 Persons not in the bargaining unit, including employees, may perform any work assigned to them whether performed by bargaining unit members or otherwise. It is not the intent of this provision that layoffs of bargaining unit members would occur as a result of such assignment, or that such work would be regularly assigned to non-bargaining unit persons, unless such work was not exclusive to the bargaining unit prior to the application of this Collective Agreement.
