Common use of Scope of Research Clause in Contracts

Scope of Research. BAYER and PARADIGM shall undertake a research ----------------- collaboration ("RESEARCH COLLABORATION") relating to the identification and development of novel genes, and/or gene products, gene functions and ASSAYS useful to measure the potential herbicidal activity of chemical compounds or substances ("FIELD"). PARADIGM under this Agreement agrees to conduct research and render services in the FIELD as defined in the RESEARCH PROGRAM exclusively for BAYER. PARADIGM will not conduct research and render services in the FIELD as defined in the RESEARCH PROGRAM for other third parties.
