Common use of Second Step Clause in Contracts

Second Step. If the department supervisor fails to adjust the grievance in a satisfactory manner, it shall be referred by the Union to the department manager/ superintendent in writing within seven (7) calendar days following the reply of the department supervisor. The department manager/superintendent shall give his reply in writing within seven (7) calendar days.
