Secondary Planning. 24 Full time employees teaching in grade 7 through grade 12 positions shall have a 25 continuous planning period equal to the regular scheduled period during a regular normal 26 work-day. Part time employees planning period shall be prorated by FTE. 27
Secondary Planning. Every effort shall be made to provide secondary unit members with five (5) planning periods per week scheduled during the student day. Unit members shall have not less than two hundred fifty minutes of planning per work week. However, of the cumulative 500 minutes over the course of the two weeks, a block of time equating to approximately 10% of the 500 minutes may be allocated to the principal for the purpose of professional development. The principal or designee maintains sole discretion for scheduling of this time. Time beyond the 250 minutes per week may be used by the principal or his/her designee for collaboration, professional development, conferencing, teaming, or other related activities. Department Leader planning time shall be at least two hundred fifty (250) minutes per work week. Planning time shall be provided in blocks of at least thirty (30) minutes.
Secondary Planning. The normal weekly teaching load in the secondary schools shall include five (5) enrichment periods where scheduled. A teacher’s schedule will include five (5) periods of unassigned preparation time each week, one period per day equal to one class period. All secondary teachers shall be entitled to a duty-free lunch period daily, equal to the students' lunch period. It is the intention of the district to provide a minimum of 23 minutes of non-duty lunch time for the middle schools and a minimum of 21 minutes of non-duty lunch for the high school. It is understood that from time to time a school may schedule special activities or field trips that continue through the time that would normally be a teacher instructional planning period. The school administration will make every effort to ensure some period of relief during this time provided that student supervision is not jeopardized. The administration will also schedule in such a way that no teacher planning period is affected more than ten minutes two times a trimester or three times a semester.

The two hundred fifty (250) minutes per week may be provided as an average over the course of one to three weeks using alternating or rotating class schedules. Teachers will not be assigned more than five (5) student contact periods per class schedule rotation, and not more than one (1) advisory-type period per day, except for approved zero-hour and in-lieu of planning assignments. Secondary schools may request a waiver to accommodate an alternate schedule that falls outside the parameters of this section. a. Not a graded class at the Middle School level. b. Site-based decisions will be made on the use of advisory/homeroom, and no one building’s decision in this regard shall set a precedent for the entire district. A site-based plan for the use of advisory/homeroom is to be submitted to the Association by October 1 each year, along with the site-based decision-making model. c. No lesson planning by the teacher is to be required in PAC/tutorial/advisory. The option to run lessons for the purpose of RTI will be left up to the discretion of the teacher based on the needs of his or her students.

  • Procurement Planning Prior to the issuance of any invitations to bid for contracts, the proposed procurement plan for the Project shall be furnished to the Association for its review and approval, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1 of Appendix 1 to the Guidelines. Procurement of all goods and works shall be undertaken in accordance with such procurement plan as shall have been approved by the Association, and with the provisions of said paragraph 1.

  • Selection Planning Prior to the issuance to consultants of any requests for proposals, the proposed plan for the selection of consultants under the Project shall be furnished to the Association for its review and approval, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1 of Appendix 1 to the Consultant Guidelines. Selection of all consultants’ services shall be undertaken in accordance with such selection plan as shall have been approved by the Association, and with the provisions of said paragraph 1.
