Secondary Supervision. Secondary teachers shall be available to students in their classroom fifteen minutes prior to the first scheduled class of the day and five minutes prior to the first scheduled class in the afternoon. Such time shall not constitute supervision/on-call or instructional time. Any assigned supervision duty during the times as outlined above, such as but not limited to, bus duty, hall duty and/or yard duty shall constitute supervision.
Secondary Supervision. At secondary school dances and athletic events with large spectator participant attendance where teachers are expected to be present and supervision is required, security personnel will be scheduled for the purpose of assisting, supporting, and protecting on-duty unit members. At other large group activities where non-students are expected to be present and teacher supervision is required, security personnel will be provided as determined by the site administrator on an as- needed basis. Unit members are expected to observe, evaluate, and direct non-student behavior, if appropriate, and summon security personnel for assistance.
Secondary Supervision. Regular classroom teachers who, at the request of the administration, are asked to absorb another instructor’s class shall be compensated at the Extra Duty Rate. This does not include Career and Academic Planning (CAP), advisory, or short leave situations.

Any assigned supervision duty during the times as outlined above, such as but not limited to, bus duty, hall duty and/or yard duty shall constitute supervision. ii) Supervision shall be assigned by the Principal equitably among the staff. iii) Effective September 1, 2012, secondary teachers shall be assigned a maximum of seventy-five (75) minutes per two week period of supervision, on average. iv) Principals shall provide the School Association representative with a tentative master supervision schedule by September 30 of each school year. Pursuant to ii) above, any concerns regarding the scheduling of supervision shall first be discussed with the Principal to be addressed in a mutually agreed to fashion. If there is no agreement, the concern shall be referred to Joint Staffing Committee. v) Supervision assignments shall be pro-rated based on percentage of employment contract.
Secondary Supervision. A. All certified staff assigned students will supervise students in their classroom for arrival and dismissal. Middle School supervision time will begin at 7:10am, and High School supervision will begin at 7:50am. B. All certified staff not assigned students will be assigned morning supervision on a rotational schedule as directed by the administrator. C. Afternoon dismissal supervision will be the responsibility of all certified personnel. Afternoon supervision will be done on a rotational basis.
