Common use of Section 3.1 Clause in Contracts

Section 3.1. 44 It is agreed that all employees subject to this Agreement shall have and shall be protected in the 45 exercise of the right, freely and without fear of penalty or reprisal, to join and assist the Union, 46 providing that the exercise of such rights does not interfere with the performance of assigned duties of 47 employees of the District. The freedom of such employees to assist the Union shall be recognized as 1 extending to participation in the management of the Union, including presentation of the views of the 2 Union.

The District shall neither encourage nor discourage 28 membership in any employee organization.
