Section 5.5. Employees assigned a shift of more than five consecutive hours shall be allowed a 40 thirty (30) minute uninterrupted lunch period as near as possible to the midpoint of the work period 41 as practicable. Mealtime is non-compensated time. However, employees required to work through 42 their assigned, regular mealtime will be given time to eat at a time mutually agreed by the employee 43 and the employee’s immediate supervisor. In the event the District requires employee to forego 44 mealtime and the employee works his/her assigned regular shift, including the mealtime, the 45 employee shall be compensated for the foregone mealtime.
