Section 6.9. 23 An employee who takes a higher paid classification and or position permanently will be paid at the 24 first rate in the higher classification and or position that will result in a salary increase. It is understood 25 that the employee’s longevity is retained. 27 All employees who are required, in writing, to work and assume a majority of the duties and 28 responsibilities in a higher paid classification and or position temporarily will be paid at the first rate in 29 the higher classification and or position that will result in a salary increase. The higher rate of pay will 30 be paid from first day.
