Common use of Section 7.4 Clause in Contracts

Section 7.4. 14 Employees required to work through their regular lunch period will be given time to eat within their 15 work shift as agreed upon by the employee and the employee’s supervisor. In the event an employee is 16 required to forego the lunch period and works the entire shift, including the lunch period, the employee 17 shall be compensated for the foregone lunch period at overtime rates.

Section 7.4. 14 11 Employees required to work through their regular lunch period will be given time to eat within their 15 work 12 shift as agreed upon by the employee and the employee’s supervisor. In the event an employee is 16 required 13 to forego the lunch period and works the entire shift, including the lunch period, the employee 17 shall be 14 compensated for the foregone lunch period at overtime rates.

In the event the District requires an employee is 16 required to forego the a lunch 16 period and the employee works the entire shift, including the lunch period, the employee 17 shall be 17 compensated for the foregone lunch period at overtime ratesone and one-half (1½) times the employee's hourly rate or 18 compensatory time equal to one and one-half (1½) times the foregone lunch period.
