Section 7.7. 22 No employee within our bargaining unit will be hired for less than two (2) hours, except as in 23 accordance with Section 10.5.1. 25 Section 7.8. Early Release. 26 Early release days are defined as those days, which are scheduled to be equal to or less than one-half 27 (1/2) a regular school day, such as report card preparation, conferences, the day before a holiday, and 28 the last day of school. The employee may use one of the following options on these early release days; 29 after the students have been dismissed for the day: 31 1. Work regularly scheduled hours. 32 2. Request vacation or personal leave for unworked hours. 33 3. Use sick leave for medical appointments. (Must provide documentation within three (3) 34 workdays of the appointment or use other listed options.) 35 4. Request compensatory time as accrued under Section 7.6. 36 5. Accept a deduction of pay for the unworked hours. 37 38 If the employee does not select one (1) of the options within three (3) business days, she/he will accept 39 a deduction of pay (#5). The employee will indicate the chosen option on Time-Card Online by payroll 40 cutoff for that work period. Failure to do so will result in the payroll secretary or payroll entering a 41 deduction of pay. 42
