Common use of Section 8.9.1 Clause in Contracts

Section 8.9.1. 22 The returning employee will be assigned to the same position occupied before the leave of 23 absence. If the position is no longer in existence the employee shall be assigned to a position 24 in the same general job classification with equal hours, benefits and pay. Employees hired to 25 fill positions of employees on leave of absence will be hired for a specific period of time during 26 which they shall be subject to all relevant provisions of this Agreement including but not 27 limited to Section 1.4. It shall be the responsibility of the employer to inform replacement 28 employees of these provisions.
