SECTION I - DEFINITIONS. 19.1.1 A "grievance" shall mean an alleged violation, misapplication or misinterpretation of a specific provision of this Agreement, which affects the grievant. This grievance procedure shall not be used to challenge or change policies, regulations, or procedures of the District that are not included in this Agreement, nor shall the grievance procedure be used for other matters for which specific methods of review are provided by law, or District policies, rules or regulations. 19.1.2 A "grievant" shall mean an employee covered by this Agreement filing a grievance on his/her own behalf or on behalf of the Association or CSEA itself. In a case of multiple grievance claims on the same issue, the District may elect to hear only the first written grievance filed, and when the Level VI decision is rendered, it shall be applicable to all claims on the same issue, arising from the same set of circumstances.
