SEDIMENT CONTROL STRUCTURES Sample Clauses

The Sediment Control Structures clause establishes requirements for the installation and maintenance of physical barriers or systems designed to prevent soil erosion and control the movement of sediment on a construction site. Typically, this clause mandates the use of silt fences, sediment basins, or other approved devices at strategic locations such as near water bodies, storm drains, or site boundaries. Its core function is to minimize environmental impact by ensuring that construction activities do not result in sediment runoff, thereby protecting surrounding land and water resources from contamination and degradation.
