The Company operates in three business segments: Specialties - manufacture and sale of groundwood specialty printing papers Newsprint - manufacture and sale of newsprint Pulp and containerboard - manufacture and sale of softwood pulps and containerboard Subsequent to December 31, 2001, the Company segregated its newsprint activities from those relating to groundwood specialty printing papers and reports the results of these activities separately as the Newsprint and Specialties segments. Segment information for prior periods has been restated to reflect this change. The segments are managed separately and all manufacturing facilities are located in Canada.
