Seniority Rules in Criminal Records Division. Tenprint Unit For shift bidding, vacations, and entitlement to overtime, seniority for Fingerprint Supervisors will be determined by seniority within the position. If there is a tie in seniority, within the unit will prevail, if there is a tie among unit seniority, then seniority within the Division will prevail. For all other purposes, such as layoffs seniority will be based on length of unbroken service.
