Common use of Service and Maintenance Clause in Contracts

Service and Maintenance. 8.1 Supplier shall 8.1.1 provide Preventive Maintenance on the sites and installed capacities of the PAX systems as listed under Schedule I, scope of works as listed under Schedule II, hereto in respect of the Equipment, two times a year during the period of this Agreement, including spare parts but excluding consumable items such as batteries, Alcatel Telephone Unit and other expendable supply items such as external covers and power supply cables if any; 8.1.2 provide Corrective Maintenance by dispatching an authorized service technician to attend to any breakdown or failure of the Equipment during the hours 8.1.3 provide the aforementioned maintenance services during the regular working hours which is Day Hours Mondays to Fridays : 09:00 to 17:00 8.1.4 upon request from the User, provide services outside the aforementioned regular working hours which services shall be charged to the User on ‘per call basis’ at the rates and upon the terms and conditions as set out in Schedule IV hereto. 8.1.5 Replace on an exchange basis, defective parts arising solely out of faulty materials.
