Common use of SERVICE APPAREL Clause in Contracts

SERVICE APPAREL. a) The Company agrees to furnish those employees who are required to wear Service Apparel in the performance of their duties with the required Service Apparel. b) Employees will be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of their Service Apparel, and any damage caused to Service Apparel other than through normal wear. c) It is understood that employees shall exercise normal care for the uniform equipment and shall be responsible for any damage willfully or neglectfully caused. d) Employees shall not wear uniform apparel when off duty, other than directly enroute to or from work. e) Employees are required to wear suitable CSA-approved safety footwear, as prescribed by the Company. All footwear must be "Green Patch" safety approved. Employees will be eligible for reimbursement for the purchase or repair of the above mentioned footwear to a maximum of $250 per rolling twenty-four (24) month period (from date of purchase), with receipts. New Employees requiring safety footwear shall be reimbursed as above following the six (6) months probationary period. f) Service vehicles will be supplied with the following items for use of on duty employees: Safety helmets, spotlight, first-aid kit and a winter survival kit. In addition, raincoats and rubber boots will also be made available. g) Upon leaving Company service, employees shall surrender all items of uniform equipment to the Company. h) The Company shall furnish one (1) pair of coveralls to probationary employees and other employees required to perform maintenance and/or trouble shooting work. i) Effective date of ratification, the Company will pay to a maximum of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) taxes included, towards the purchase of prescription safety glasses for all employees who require them to safely perform their duties. The Company will reimburse upon presentation of original invoice once every two (2) years. If in the future the Company provides a vision care plan which ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ this benefit, this clause will be automatically deleted.

Other Employees (excluding part time) requiring such coveralls in order to maintain the cleanliness of their uniform, shall be furnished with one (1) set upon request. i15.09 New Employees requiring safety footwear shall be reimbursed as per 15.05 following the six (6) Effective date of ratification, the months probationary period. 15.10 The Company will pay to a maximum of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) taxes included, towards the purchase of prescription safety glasses for all employees who require them to safely perform their duties. The maximum amount will be $175 plus HST. The Company will reimburse upon presentation of original invoice once every two (2) years. If in the future the Company provides a vision care plan which ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ this benefit, this clause will be automatically deleted.

Employees requiring personal protective equipment shall be provided with safety equipment suitable for the working environment. b) 15.02 Employees are required, while on duty, to wear complete Service Apparel. The sole discretion shall rest with the Company as to the point of time Service Apparel is in need of replacement and the Company reserves the right to equip new employees with items of cleaned and altered apparel. 15.03 Employees will be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of their Service Apparel, and any damage caused to Service Apparel other than through normal wear. c) 15.04 It is understood that employees shall exercise normal care for the uniform equipment Service Apparel and shall be responsible for any damage damages willfully or neglectfully negligently caused. d) Employees 15.05 Upon leaving the Company’s service, employees shall not wear uniform apparel when off duty, other than directly enroute surrender all items of Service Apparel to or from workthe Company. e15.06 The Company will pay towards the purchase of prescription safety glasses for all employees who require them to safely perform their duties. It is understood that the employee shall exercise the same care with this clothing as with the other employees required to perform maintenance and/or trouble shooting workitems of Service Apparel. i) Effective date of ratification, the Company will pay to a maximum of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) taxes included, towards the purchase of prescription safety glasses for all employees who require them to safely perform their duties. The Company will reimburse upon presentation of original invoice once every two (2) years.
