The Service Distinction clause defines and clarifies the specific services that are covered under an agreement, distinguishing them from other services that may not be included. Service Distinction. Important distinctions exist between a telecommunications service and our Equipment and Services, and our Equipment and Services, and our Equipment and Services are subject to different regulatory treatment than a telecommunications service. This treatment may limit or otherwise affect your rights or redress before regulatory agencies.

You acknowledge and understand that the Service is not a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network), which refers a telephone system based on copper wires carrying analogue voice data. There are important distinctions exist between a PSTN service and the Voice Over Internet Protocol Service offering provided by engin – namely that the Service offered by engin transfers packets of data over your Internet connection.

Events beyond our control affect our service, such as power outages, fluctuations in the internet, your underlying ISP or broadband service, or maintenance. We will act in good faith to minimize disruptions to your use of and access to our VoIP Service.
