Common use of SERVICES REQUIRED Clause in Contracts

SERVICES REQUIRED. The required services shall consist of providing support personnel and project management support to work under the direct supervision of A&M System staff to provide support on an as- needed basis in one or more areas of expertise. The selected PROVIDER(s) will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment including but not limited to computer, software, digital camera and cell phone as part of their overhead and without separate reimbursement. Activities for which support personnel and project management support MAY be requested include: a. Project Management Staff Augmentation, most often in role(s) outlined below: • On-site Representative, responsibilities to include: o Coordinate and document daily activities, schedule conditions, and interaction with the project stakeholders during construction phase. o Provide Quality Assurance by reviewing the work of project team members to ensure compliance with construction contract requirements, design standards, and applicable codes throughout all phases of the project. o Assist in the closeout process from Substantial Completion through training, furnishing, certification of systems, commissioning, and financial closeout of contracts. o Assist in execution of third-party contracts. • Project Manager, responsibilities to include: o Provide technical guidance and leadership to project team members during pre- construction and/or construction phases. o Ensure construction documents are developed in accordance with applicable codes, design standards, master plan requirements, and are in accordance with the approved program and project authorizations. Ensure project architect/engineer submits required design documents to appropriate authorities. o Act as a project customer service representative to clients affiliated with assigned projects and for the coordination of pre-construction and construction activities with the client. o Organize and support design and construction meetings required to ensure all project deliverables are met. o Provide quality assurance by reviewing the work of project team members to ensure compliance with construction contract requirements and design standards o Negotiate and prepare third party contracts.
