Common use of Share Fee Clause in Contracts

Share Fee. Section 1. The Local Union Chairperson/designee will be provided the opportunity to meet with a newly hired bargaining unit employee during the new hire orientation process, or within the first week of employment, as may be applicable, for the purpose of receiving information about the Union. Any such meeting will not exceed fifteen (15) minutes and the Chairperson/designee will not suffer any loss of pay for informational meetings conducted during his regular duty hours. Section 2. It is understood that in consideration of the decision in ▇▇▇▇▇ v. AFSCME, Council 31, et al (US Supreme Court, June 27, 2018), (“Janus”), the fair share fee provisions as they existed within the January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2018, collective bargaining agreement (2016 - 2018 CBA) are no longer operational.
