Common use of Shared Services Clause in Contracts

Shared Services. 5.1 OECTA agrees to adopt a shared services model that will provide for the administration and investment of the Trust and will allow other Trusts to join the shared services model. The shared services office of the Trust is responsible for administering the benefits provided and ensuring the delivery of benefits on a sustainable, efficient and cost effective basis. 5.1.1 Shared administrative services will be provided by the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (“OTIP”) and will be competitively procured within 4 years of the last employee representative group’s participation Date but shall be no later than August 31, 2021. 5.1.2 Any procurement of services to support the administration of benefits conducted by the shared services office should include the procurement of these services for all Trusts to ensure the most efficient and cost effective service.
