Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which leave can be requested, such as for personal, medical, or family reasons, and may specify the maximum duration allowed and any documentation required. Its core function is to provide flexibility for employees to address short-term personal needs while ensuring the employer retains clarity and continuity in workforce planning.
