Common use of Signal Specification Clause in Contracts

Signal Specification. 6.1 Multiplexed Transport Stream Distributed by the Service Provider. The Multiplexed Transport Stream for each multiplex presented at the Signal Interface Points shall be: o Up to a maximum of 24.128 Mbit/s o Digital Video Broadcast Asynchronous Serial Interface (DVB-ASI) o MPEG-2 Multiple Programme Transport Stream o BNC Physical Interface 6.2 System Operation Data In addition to audio, video, data and other services individual to each multiplex, each Multiplexed Transport Stream will include EIT, Electronic Programme Guide, Service Information, Conditional Access and any other operational data required for the interoperation of all Digital Terrestrial Television multiplexes Distributed and Transmitted by the Service Provider. A dynamic interface will be maintained between the Client System Information Server(s) and Service Provider System Information Servers(s) to facilitate this interoperability. The Client will provide suitable connectivity between the Clients System Interface Server(s) and the Signal Interface Points. The Service Provider will provide suitable connectivity between the Service Provider System Information Server(s) and the Signal Interface Points. 6.3 Multiplexed Transport Stream Transmitted by the Service Provider The Multiplex Transport Stream will be encoded and modulated as follows: Modulation 64QAM Coding Rate 2/3 Guard Interval 1/32 Number of Carriers 8k Each Multiplex Transport Stream shall have a maximum payload of 24.128 MBits/s comprising statistically multiplexed video, audio, data and other enhanced services. Each Multiplexed Transport Stream will include Electronic Programme Guide, System Information, Conditional Access or any other data required for the interoperation of all Digital Terrestrial Television multiplexes Distributed and Transmitted by the Service Provider. The Client will be responsible for data integrity, service priority within the statistical multiplex and the overall management of Multiplexed Transport Stream payload. It will be a matter for the Client to determine the number and quality of the television and other services to be carried in each Multiplexed Transport Stream. The Service Provider will transmit the Multiplex Transport Stream nationally using a Multi-Frequency Network (MFN).
