Common use of Single Portfolio Clause in Contracts

Single Portfolio. a Single Portfolio is one that is in your sole name, where only you or your Representative on your behalf may instruct us and where you are the sole beneficiary in respect of the assets in the Portfolio. A Single Portfolio may contain the following types of Investment Account: (i) General Investment Account (“GIA”): this type of Investment Account is subject to the UK tax regime rules but is not subject to additional rules (such as may apply to NISAs and SIPPs); and/or (ii) New Stock and Shares Individual Saving Account (“NISA”): in July 2014, all ISAs became NISAs (otherwise known as a ‘New ISA’). Please note that we only operate stocks and shares NISAs under these Terms and not cash NISAs. Please see the supplemental NISA Terms at Appendix A of these Terms.
