Single Status. 1.1 The Local Government Single Status Job Evaluation Scheme has been developed jointly by the National Joint Council for Local Government Services (NJC) and is attached as Appendix 1. 1.2 As a key part of the process to achieve single status all jobs within scope of theGreen Book” (including jobs paid above the maximum of the spine but excluding those covered by the JNC for Chief Officers) will have to be graded on a common basis in accordance with equal pay legislation. The NJC believes that the design of its scheme meets this requirement. 1.3 The National Joint Council has also developed a users’ manual and Technical Notes for use in authorities where the scheme is being implemented. The User’s Manual and Technical Notes have the status of Part 4 provisions offering further guidance on applying the scheme. 1.4 Job evaluation should not be seen as a one off project. The processes used in individual local authorities to deliver a pay and grading structure rooted in the principles of equal pay should be retained and embedded in the post implementation pay and reward function, In accordance with the 2004 Implementation Agreement, employers should have a timetable for regular equal pay auditing. The National Joint Secretaries have produced joint advice on the approach to be taken to such audits. This is set out in Part 4.10 of the National Agreement.

Single Status. 12.1 This subclause 60.12 applies to any pay and grading review (a “Single Status Review”) affecting any group of employees within the Transferring Employees undertaken in accordance with the parties’ obligations under the national framework for pay and conditions of service agreed by the National Joint Council for Local Government Services in 1997 (the “Single Status Agreement”) and which is binding upon the Organisation.
Single Status. 3.1 The "Single Status" agreement was agreed at national level by representatives of Local Government Employers and certain Trade Unions (GMB, UNISON and TGWU) in 1997. It is based on the following principles: to guide and encourage: • high quality services delivered by a well trained, motivated workforce with security of employment; • equal opportunities in employment; equality as a core principle which underpins both service delivery and employment relations; and both the removal of all discrimination and promotion of positive action; • a flexible approach to providing services to the community, which meets the needs of employees as well as the employer; • stable industrial relations and negotiation and consultation between local authorities as employers and recognised trade unions. 3.2 All parties accept that details of the Single Status agreement apply to all staff covered by this Agreement - ‘Employment in Hampshire County Council 2007’.

  • Tax Free Status No party shall, nor shall any party permit any of its subsidiaries to, take any actions which would, or would be reasonably likely to, adversely affect the status of the Merger as a reorganization within the meaning of Section 368(a) of the Code, and each party hereto shall use all reasonable efforts to achieve such result.

  • CONTRIBUTOR’S STATUS Contributor is a corporation (or other form of artificial legal entity or juristic person) and is therefore a Constituent (defined in the Policy) and will be represented in OpenID by Representatives (defined in the Policy). Contributor’s initial Representatives are identified in Table 1 above, and in Exhibit 1 (if attached), and Contributor may change its Representatives from time to time on written notice to OIDF. Each Representative will also be required to click through the OIDF Online Contribution Agreement on its own behalf. Contributor will, as soon as commercially practicable (and in any case before the next Work Group meeting attended by any of its Representatives), notify OIDF in writing of any change of status of its Representatives.

  • Company Status The Company is a corporation duly formed and validly existing under the general laws of the State of Maryland, with all requisite power and authority to enter into this Agreement and to carry out its obligations hereunder.

  • Pay Status An aggrieved employee and the Union Delegate shall be in a pay status during those working hours in which a grievance, a grievance mediation, or an arbitration hearing is held. Release time for additional employee representation shall be subject to approval by the Labor Relations Officer or designee when a group grievance is filed.

  • Employee Status For purposes of determining the applicability of Section 422 of the Code (relating to Incentive Stock Options), or in the event that the terms of any Grant provide that it may be exercised only during employment or within a specified period of time after termination of employment, the Committee may decide to what extent leaves of absence for governmental or military service, illness, temporary Disability, or other reasons shall not be deemed interruptions of continuous employment.
