SITE INVESTIGATION; SUBSURFACE CONDITIONS. 4.2.1. The Contractor shall be responsible for, and by executing the Master Facilities Lease acknowledges, that it has carefully examined the Site and has taken all steps it deems reasonably necessary to ascertain all conditions which may affect the Work, or the cost thereof, including, without limitation, conditions bearing upon transportation, disposal, handling or storage of materials; availability of labor or utilities; access to the Site; and the physical conditions and the character of equipment, materials, labor and services necessary to perform the Work. If the Contractor reasonably determines there is an existing condition which is materially different than depicted in the Contract Documents or at the time of bid, Contractor shall immediately notify the District and the Architect in writing of the same in accordance with Article 4.1.2 herein.
