SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT. 1. The contract is for a period of 2 years (i.e. 24 months) commencing from 14th day of placing the order / or the actual date of commencement of work whichever is earlier. Subsequently, the contract period may be extended, if required, at the discretion of the Port for a further period with the prevailing rates without prejudice to the conditions of contract. 2. The contractor should have valid GST Number and the contractor should have valid EPF Registration numbers for the Manpower engaged for Operating the RO, STP & WSP Plants. 3. Before the commencement of work, a copy of the “Operation & Maintenance manual” submitted by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) will be issued for the guidance for operating the plant. 4. The works are to be carried out in a way, not to cause any hindrance /disturbance to the day to day work. The bidder has to take all precautions and measures to ensure safety to the working personnel. The works shall be carried out without any damage to the existing facility / Plant / machinery /structures. Any damaged caused shall be made good by the contractor at his own cost. 5. The contractor has to issue Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) like Safety shoes, hand gloves, helmet, goggles to the operator. The Contractor should also arrange Uniform, Food, Transportation, Accommodation, etc., for the manpower engaged for operating the RO, STP & WSP Plants which all are included in the Bidder’s Quoted Rate and KPL will be not pay anything extra for the above apart from the quoted rates. 6. The deployed manpower for the RO, STP & WSP Plants should not posses / carry / intake alcohol / drugs / Tobacco during working hours inside the Port Premises. KPL if found any manpower with the above will view seriously and will take necessary action against the contractor. 7. The Contractor shall, at all times, ensure that all its employees are adequately insured and are fully covered for the risks that would be involved while/for carrying out the works and that the insurance policies (detailed below) shall remain in full force and effect until the expiry of the contract. A copy of the following insurance policy shall be taken within 21 days from the date of issue of work order and Policies to be furnished to KPL.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT. 1. The contract work proposed is for a period to be undertaken in the occupied building. The movement/ carrying of 2 years (i.e. 24 months) commencing from 14th day of placing materials etc. are also suitably governed. The materials may have to be carried by staircase and all such constraints factors governing the order / or the actual date of commencement of work whichever is earlierbuilding maintenance, security, working and transporting timings have to be ascertained and works are to be suitably planned. Subsequently, the contract period may No extra cost will be extended, if required, at the discretion of the Port for a further period with the prevailing rates without prejudice payable to the conditions contractor on account of contractany re-fundable deposit or non-refundable payment to be effected to the society.
2. The contractor should have valid GST Number and shall ensure that on day-to-day basis or as agreed upon, the contractor should have valid EPF Registration numbers for waste, debris, packing materials on its unpacking etc. are to be cleared from the Manpower engaged for Operating site /building so that the RO, STP & WSP Plantsfunctionality of the building premises is not affected.
3. Before In case of electrical works before doing any temporary disconnections etc, the contractor must inform the Bank officials in advance and then the connections shall be restored immediately on completion of works. The electrical contractor shall always provide and ensure that at the least one competent electrician is available throughout the work period even if there are no electrical works scheduled for the day, in particular at the beginning of the day well before commencement of work, a copy the working hours so as to ensure availability of power and for any trouble shooting. No extra cost or separate claim for this said work shall be payable and shall be part of the “Operation & Maintenance manual” submitted by responsibility of the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) will be issued for the guidance for operating the plantcontractor undertaking electrical works.
4. The works are rates quoted shall be inclusive of all taxes, fees & duties payable by the contractor, as applicable to type of work undertaken. The contractor shall submit the details and proof of such payment of such taxes pertaining to this work within 15 days of such payments made to the concerned authorities. Non-submission of such details shall be liable to be carried out in a waytreated as non-performance of contract during the defect liability period and retention money / security deposit is liable to be withheld for such period till submission of details, not to cause any hindrance /disturbance to the day to day workif necessary. The bidder has to take contractor shall note that the quoted item rates shall include all precautions and measures to ensure safety to the working personnel. The works shall be carried out without any damage to the existing facility / Plant / machinery /structures. Any damaged caused shall be made good expenses incurred by the contractor at his own costfor providing the items on site.
5. The contractor has to issue Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) like Safety shoes, hand gloves, helmet, goggles shall provide duly attested photographs of their personnel / workers to the operatorBank on their letter head in advance due to security issues. The Contractor should also arrange UniformFurther in case the work is to be carried out overnight or on a Sunday / holiday, Food, Transportation, Accommodation, the contractor must inform the Bank one day in advance so as to make the necessary arrangements etc., for the manpower engaged for operating the RO, STP & WSP Plants which all are included in the Bidder’s Quoted Rate and KPL will be not pay anything extra for the above apart from the quoted rates.
