a) An employee is entitled to two (2) days’ bereavement leave with pay for purposes relating to the death of a son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law.
b) If, during a period of compensatory leave, an employee is bereaved in circumstances under which the employee would have been eligible for bereavement leave with pay under clause 15.03 and clause 15.04 a), of this clause the employee shall be granted bereavement leave with pay and the compensatory leave credits shall be restored to the extent of any concurrent bereavement leave with pay granted.

SPECIAL LEAVE WITH OR WITHOUT PAY. 17.01 An employee who is granted leave up to one (1) year under this collective agreement shall return to his position upon the termination of his leave. The employee shall give the Employer at least thirty (30) days' advance notice of the date of his return to work.

Note (i): The Employer will take into account the needs of the School and the Employee in dealing with applications for study leave. In addition to leave for study, the Employer may grant leave for examinations, reimburse course fees wholly or in part and assist with travel costs.

SPECIAL LEAVE WITH OR WITHOUT PAY a) Up to a total of 50 hours leave with pay will be granted in the categories below (17.09 b), 17.09 c) and 17.09 d) in a fiscal year.
b) Leave With Pay for Family Related Responsibilities
i) to provide for temporary care of a sick member of the employee’s family;
ii) for appointments of a professional nature (doctor, dentist, therapist, lawyer, teacher, etc.).
