Common use of Special Terms and Conditions (STCs) Clause in Contracts

Special Terms and Conditions (STCs). The State must provide documentation of its compliance with each of the STCs. Where appropriate, a brief explanation may be accompanied by an attachment containing more detailed information. Where the STCs address any of the following areas ((c) through (f) below), they need not be documented a second time. Consistent with Federal law, CMS reserves the right to deny approval for a requested extension based on non- compliance with these STCs, including but not limited to failure by the State to submit required reports and other deliverables in a timely fashion according to the deadlines specified herein.
