Specific Purposes. This Agreement is entered into in order to exercise such common power, and the additional powers granted to the Authority under the Act, or under any other applicable law, for the purpose of effectuating the acquisition, operation and maintenance of any Watershed Projects and/or Water Supply Projects undertaken pursuant hereto. Such purpose will be accomplished and the powers exercised in the manner herein set forth. (a) The Authority serves as the Regional Water Management Group for the Mokelumne- ▇▇▇▇▇▇-Calaveras (MAC) Region as designated in 2009 by the Department of Water Resources pursuant to the Regional Water Management Planning Act of 2002. The MAC Region’s Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) Plan was first adopted by the Authority in 2013.
