SPECIFIED HOLIDAYS. 9.01 All regular employees on the active payroll will receive pay at their regular rate for each of the following holidays: New Year's Day Good Friday Victoria Day Canada Day Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day The work day immediately prior to Christmas Day Christmas Day Boxing Day The work day immediately prior to New Year's Day Two Floater Holidays Remembrance Day (a) To be eligible for holiday pay in respect of any of the holidays set out in Section 9.01 , an employee must have worked the last regular scheduled work day pre- ceding the holiday and their first regular scheduled work day following the holiday. (b) Notwithstanding the above, the Company may grant reasonable time off the day before or after a specified holiday to employees with one (1) year's service or more, providing a prior request is filed with the Company. (c) Such time off will only be granted to relieve hardship and will not affect holiday pay. 9.03 It is understood that any employee scheduled, or who agrees to work on any specified holiday, must report to work and work the scheduled hours or forfeit holiday pay. Holi- day pay will be granted if a satisfactory reason is given. 9.04 Holiday pay, as provided in Section 9.01, shall not be considered as days or hours worked for the purpose of computing overtime pay. 9.05 For the purpose of this Article, if any of the above holidays fall on a Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday and if any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday, it shall be observed on the Friday preceding. 9.06 In the case of continuous shift operators, for the purposes of this Article, if any of the above holidays fall on an operator's scheduled day off, subject to mutual agreement be- tween the affected employee and the Company to the contrary, the holiday will be ob- served on a date scheduled by the Company falling within 30 days following the holiday. 13.01 An employee shall be entitled to pay for the following holidaysSpecified Holidays: New YearYears Day Employee's Day Birthday Good Friday Labour Day Victoria Day Canada Day Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day The work day immediately prior to Christmas Canada Day Christmas Day Boxing Day The work day Civic Holiday In order to qualify for Specified Holiday pay, the employee must have:
a) Been in the employ of the Company for three (3) months or more immediately prior to New Year's Day Two Floater Holidays Remembrance Daysuch holiday.
b) Worked at least ten (a10) To be eligible for holiday pay days in respect of any of the holidays set out in Section 9.01 , an employee must have worked thirty (30) calendar days preceding the last holiday.
c) Worked his regular scheduled work day pre- ceding the holiday shift preceding and their first regular scheduled work day following the holiday.
d) An employee entitled to holiday pay under this article shall be paid at his regular straight time hourly rate multiplied by his average daily regular straight time hours worked in the four (b4) Notwithstanding week period preceding the above, week of the Company may grant reasonable time off the day before or after holiday. Such payment shall be made within four (4) weeks of a specified holiday to employees with one (1) year's service or more, providing a prior request is filed with except for reasons beyond the Company's control. “Average daily regular straight time hour worked in the four (4) week period preceding the week of the holiday” shall be calculated by dividing the total number of hours worked by the employee in the four weeks preceding the week of the holiday by the total number of days worked by the employee in that same period.
(c) Such time off will only 13.02 The employees shall receive the benefit of any additional holiday that may be granted to relieve hardship and will not affect holiday payproclaimed by the Government during the life of this Agreement.

13.04 One and one half (12) times an employees regular straight time hours rate will be paid for authorized work performed on a Saturday, it shall be observed on the Friday precedingpaid holiday.

(a) To be eligible for holiday pay Been in respect of any the employ of the holidays set out in Section 9.01 , an employee must have worked the last regular scheduled work day pre- ceding the holiday and their first regular scheduled work day following the Company for three (3) months or more immediately prior to such holiday.
(b) Notwithstanding Worked at least ten (10) days in the above, thirty (30) calendar days preceding the Company may grant reasonable time off the day before or after a specified holiday to employees with one (1) year's service or more, providing a prior request is filed with the Companyholiday.
(c) Such Worked the employee’s regular scheduled shift preceding and following the holiday, unless the employee has a justifiable reason. Providing that the above conditions have been met, the number of specified holiday hours (to a maximum of eight (8)) that an employee shall be credited with in each instance, to be paid at the employee’s regular straight-time off will only regular straight-time hourly rate of pay which shall be granted determined by totaling the number of hours worked by the employee in the four (4) week period preceding the week of the holiday and dividing that total by the number of days worked in the same period, up to relieve hardship a maximum of 8 hours. Employees who do not observe the National Day for Truth and will not affect holiday pay.
9.03 It is understood that any employee scheduled, or Reconciliation on September 30 and who agrees to work on any specified holiday, must report to work and work that day will be paid at the scheduled hours or forfeit holiday applicable hourly rate of pay. Holi- day pay will be granted if a satisfactory reason is given.
9.04 Holiday pay, as provided in Section 9.01, shall not be considered as days or hours worked In order to qualify for the purpose of computing overtime pay.
9.05 For the purpose of this Article, if any of the above holidays fall on a Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday and if any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday, it shall be observed on the Friday preceding.
9.06 In the case of continuous shift operators, for the purposes of this Article, if any of the above holidays fall on an operator's scheduled day off, subject to mutual agreement be- tween the affected employee and must have been in the employ of the Company for three (3) months or more immediately prior to that day. Should the Ontario provincial government recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a statutory holiday at any time during the life of this collective agreement, the language in the paragraph above will become null and void and paragraph 19.01 of the collective agreement will apply. In such a situation, if an employee has already taken a day off in the calendar year preceding the introduction of the statutory holiday, that employee will be deemed to have observed the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on the day the employee was off. If this is contrary to the contrarystatute introducing the holiday, the holiday will be ob- served on parties shall meet to address the situation with a date scheduled by view of avoiding some employees having an extra day off in the Company falling within 30 days following the holiday. The Company shall provide the employee at least 7 days prior notice of the rescheduled daytransition year.
