Common use of Speed Change Clause in Contracts

Speed Change. Charterers shall have the option, exercisable at any time while Vessel is at sea, of instructing the Vessel to perform at reduced or increased speeds, consistent with safe operation of the Vessel as determined by her master. During periods of reduced speed or increased speed ordered by Charterers, no speed or fuel consumption warranties shall apply.
