Staffing Guidelines. Diligent, good faith efforts will be made to maintain staffing guidelines for the duration of the shift. Any deviation shall be corrected as quickly as possible. To ensure that guidelines are maintained the Hospital shall measure staffing levels at the beginning of each shift (e.g., 7 a.m., 7 p.m.) and will complete the following steps as needed: • Communicate to part-time/per diem for extra shifts; • Communicate with full-time negotiations unit employees for overtime; • Agency nurses for extra shift.
