Common use of Standards and Specifications Clause in Contracts

Standards and Specifications. TxDOT anticipates including in the RFP a proposed set of Project-specific standards and specifications, as well as a baseline Project definition. The RFP may permit Proposers to propose, for TxDOT’s consideration, exceptions and deviations from certain of these standards and requirements. All requests for deviations shall follow the requirements set forth in the RFP. Proposers should note, however, that there may be restrictions on deviations from federally- mandated design and construction standards.
