Standby Assignments. a. Any employee who is required to remain on standby for an eight-hour shift for emergency work shall be paid the equivalent of two (2) hours straight-time pay for each eight-hour standby shift, whether or not he/she is called to work. b. Any employee who is required to remain on standby for a four-hour shift for emergency work shall be paid the equivalent of one (1) hour straight-time pay for each four-hour standby shift, whether or not he/she is called to work. c. The employee who performs emergency work on standby duty shall be compensated therefore as overtime work. A minimum of two (2) hours overtime compensation per shift shall be paid to an employee who is called back, in addition to the standby pay to which such employee is entitled pursuant to Subsection a. or b. d. Any employee called in to work shall be compensated a minimum of two (2) hours' pay. e. Employees on standby who are not called in to work but who respond to a phone call shall be compensated in six minute increments.
