Standby Compensation. (a) When an employee is scheduled to be immediately available for standby during a period in which the employee is not on regular duty, he or she shall be paid the amount of one hour straight time pay for each eight hour period or less standing by. (b) An employee scheduled for standby shall be immediately available for duty during the period of standby at a known telephone number. No standby payment shall be made if an employee is unable to be contacted and to report for duty when required.
